• Use fists, elbows, knees, and shins only

• No headbutts, eye gouging, or groin strikes

• No hitting a downed opponent

• Clinch fighting is allowed                        (knees and control)

• Win by points, knockout, or referee decision

• Points are scored for clean, effective strikes 

• Kicks and knees typically score higher than punches

• Balance, control, and technique are heavily rewarded

• Successful clinch work (knees, off-balancing) earns points

• Blocking or evading strikes can improve scoring advantage

• No points for wild or ineffective strikes

• Fouls (illegal strikes, unsportsmanlike conduct) result in point deductions

• Winner is determined by total points at the end of the match
